Tell us about your music.
Lil Red & the Medicated Moose Band brings folk/Americana music written by husband-and-wife singer/songwriters. Come and experience the love and volatility of marriage brought to you in acoustic form.
Who’s your musical inspiration?
We both have a lot of influences. To name a couple of our favorites: Ray Charles and Bonnie Raitt.
What’s your car radio typically set to?
When we aren’t listening to our favorite podcasts, we are constantly surfing looking for something that catches our attention. We love simple, catchy music no matter what the genre of music is.
What kind of crowd do you typically see at your show?
This all depends where we are playing. We play bars with the younger party audiences, we play smaller listening rooms with a more experienced audience, or we will play festivals with any age group you can imagine. We love feeling out the audience and working to find the energy that they will connect with.
What’s the best part about performing live music?
The best part about playing music is when you are able to create that goose bump-inducing moment. That means that someone has connected with what you are doing. It means the most when you can do this with your own original music.
For those joining you at Paramount, what kind of cocktail goes best with your show?
We recommend the “Irish Redhead” — your favorite Irish whiskey mixed with Sprite and grenadine. It’s simple, delicious, and it is strong enough to keep you “Medicated.”
