JOB SUMMARY

The vice president of supply chain is responsible for creating savings within the entire enterprise supply chain and aggressively pursuing cost-saving opportunities with internal stakeholders, supplier channel partners — primarily manufacturers, distributors and group purchasing organizations. Negotiation skills are key, as each of these channel participants is seeking to increase total value as well as market share for its products and services. As the key architect of organizational supply chain vision and strategy, this role drives efficiency and cost effectiveness for over $1.2 billion in non-labor spend management. Areas of focus include contracting, clinical engagement, value analysis, information data management, procure to pay, inventory, warehousing, inventory, distribution, and transportation services.
