Chefs and beverage experts representing 17 Sioux Falls bars and restaurants will show off their skills at the annual Taste of Sioux Falls event. These are dishes you’ve likely never tried before from chefs whose work you likely love to consume around town.
This year’s lineup is from:
The Taste of Sioux Falls is held Nov. 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. To reserve your tickets, click here.
“Prepare to be amazed by what the chefs create,” SculptureWalk’s Jeff Hanson said. “There is something special as the chefs compete and do a little showing off. You won’t find a better selection of gourmet cuisine in the region. You can also try new wines, and the Sioux Falls craft brewers bring in their latest offerings. The Taste of Sioux Falls has definitely grown into the A-list event of the year.”
The event is patterned after one Hanson attended in New York City to benefit the Central Park Conservatory.
“The idea was that we are blessed with far more great restaurants than most cities our size that if we brought them all together it would make for a great value-added event that gives Sioux Falls a chance to celebrate our food and arts,” Hanson said.
The money raised is used to expand SculptureWalk and fund maintenance, artist and visitor outreach as well as keep the program sustainable.
South Dakota Artist Laureate Dale Lamphere also will be at the event to meet guests and share his experiences with his sculptures Arc of Dreams and Dignity.
If you can’t attend, you can still buy a raffle ticket for dinner for two at the 11 Madison Avenue in New York City that includes a travel voucher and a private tour of the Sotheby’s private collection. Other prizes include a $1,200 bracelet from Gunderson’s Jewelers and a private cooking class for eight at Plum’s Cooking Co.
