Transformation for ‘something exciting’ to begin at Borrowed Bucks site

March 7, 2018

Interior demolition work will start in the former Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse building for its next purpose.

“It will be remodeled, refitted, redone into something that will be exciting to see,” said Warren Ackley, vice president of JL Beers Inc.

The Fargo-based bar and restaurant group closed Borrowed Bucks in July 2017 and still has two JL Beers locations in Sioux Falls. One of those restaurants is in an addition to the Borrowed Bucks building at 3609 S. Western Ave.

Ackley said the partnership, which has several other bar and restaurant concepts, isn’t ready to disclose the plans for its newest venture yet.

“We love Sioux Falls, and we’re coming back with something different.”
