We looked back at the property transfer reports for 2018 to find the most expensive home sales for the year.

Twelve houses sold for $1 million or more in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties. The majority of the homes were in the Lincoln County portion of Sioux Falls, which is south of 57th Street.

Two of the 12 were in Minnehaha County — one in the city limits and one east of town. Of the Lincoln County sales, two were outside of the city limits.

The most expensive sale was $1,575,000 for a 7,000-square-foot house with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms southeast of Sioux Falls. The property, which is in an exclusive rural neighborhood, includes seven acres along the Big Sioux River, north of Good Earth State Park.
