JOB SUMMARY

Plan and implement security measures to protect computer systems, networks and the bank’s data. Stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, to anticipate security breaches. Responsible for preventing data loss and service interruptions by researching new technologies that will effectively protect the network. Act as the intermediary between audit and IT on security-related audit responses. Responsible for management of remediation for any issues identified. Provide expert security consultancy during requirements, design and planning phases of the purchasing and implementation of projects and applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set up and tune a SIEM product to minimize false positives and alert on important security events.
  • Daily review of security logs, generation of dashboards and other reporting on daily status.
  • Research and contribute to security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Analyze and resolve security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct user-activity audits when required.
  • Participate in day-to-day information security activities, such as questions, problems, exceptions and incident responses.
  • Review network designs and evaluate compliance to applicable security standards. Recommend security improvements.
  • Review custom application development designs and code for compliance to applicable security standards. Recommend security improvements.
  • Help develop and implement aspects of the Information Security Program beyond those areas addressed above.
