Sauna business 3 Degrees is adding an east-side location.

It opened at 57th Street and Louise Avenue in 2013. The owners had been looking for an east-side spot but struggled to find the right fit, co-owner Tiffany Hansen said.

That changed when space became available recently at 26th Street and Sycamore Avenue in the same retail center as Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping and Sun Tan City.

“We love the other tenants: fitness, tanning, just a nice healthy group,” Hansen said. “Women can get nails done and come sauna or work out and sauna or vice versa.”

The location will have about a half-dozen saunas, or half the size of the west-side site.

“We have big-time regulars (from the east side), especially the nearby suburbs of Sioux Falls, and we have some from Luverne, (Minn.,) so having that option will be wonderful for them,” Hansen said.

The plan is to open early next year. There are still some full-time weekday positions available.

“And otherwise we have everyone hired and are training on the west side, so hopefully when it opens we can move right in,” Hansen said.
