Sanford, VA to announce precision medicine partnership

Sanford Health and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will announce on Tuesday a new partnership aimed at reaching 250,000 veterans by 2022.

The announcement will be made by VA Secretary Robert Wilkie and Sanford CEO Kelby Krabbenhoft in Washington, D.C.

It’s being called “an initiative aimed at improving patient care and lowering costs related to adverse reactions to medications, which research shows costs up to $30 billion per year.”

The partnership is planned to be at 125 sites by 2022. The announcement will be made at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Watch it live here:
