A 100,00-square-foot heart and vascular center is Sanford’s latest investment in Fargo and part of $200 million in planned building over the next decade there.
It will be built near the new Sanford Medical Center Fargo, which opened last year.
Sanford’s Nate White, who leads the Fargo region, told the Grand Forks Herald that patient volumes are ahead of projections there.
The new center is expected to start construction within the next few years, followed by more buildings.
“We are trying to create a one-stop destination for all of our service lines,” White said.
Sanford also plans to convert its South University Medical Center campus in Fargo into a stand-alone hospital and clinic for orthopedics and sports medicine.
