JOB SUMMARY

Ava’s House, the new 20-bed facility, located on the campus of the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, will provide 24-hour nursing care in a home-like environment for patients of all ages. It will also offer one of only four inpatient pediatric hospice programs in the country.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation — to provide individualized nursing care to designated area. The RN collaborates with other interprofessional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications and care provided in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must hold an unencumbered RN license with the state of South Dakota or possess multistate licensure. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
