Olive Garden to get new look

July 19, 2018

Olive Garden is bringing a new look inside and out to its almost 30-year-old Sioux Falls restaurant.

The restaurant at 3121 W. 41st St. will remain open during the remodeling, which begins Monday, said Bruce Robeson, director of operations.

Crews will work at night on the interior renovation, moving from dining room to dining room in the building, he said.

“It should look clean and fresh,” Robeson said. “It’s going to feel different. There will be new finishes, new artwork, new lighting.”

The restaurant seats more than 150 diners, and that number might increase a bit with the changes, he said.

The lobby and bar also will get an updated look, and televisions will be added to the area.

Robeson estimates it has been 20 years since the interior was refurbished.

Outside, crews will install signs featuring the logo that was updated four years ago. The exterior remodeling will include the addition of a stone finish on the building.

The building permit value for the project is $367,000. The project is expected to take six weeks.

During the construction work, dine-in customers will get a special offer. For every entree purchased, they can take one home.
