Nominations due for family business excellence award

Sept. 19, 2018

Do you know a family business deserving of recognition? Nominate them by Friday for the annual Boyd Hopkins Excellence in Family Business Award from the Prairie Family Business Association.

The award recognizes family businesses that have succeeded through multiple generations and demonstrate commitment to the community. The award will be presented Nov. 29. Nominations are due Sept. 21 and completed applications from eligible businesses are due Sept. 26.

Self-nominations are welcomed.

“We are looking for family businesses with strong records of success, family involvement, community service and philanthropy, multigenerational culture and positive family business structure. For our purposes, a business is considered a family business if at least two generations are currently working in the business or if the business has already transitioned from one generation to another within the family,” the association said in a statement.
