New business expo to be held Oct. 10

From staff reports

The first Sioux Falls Business Expo will be held Oct. 10 and feature several speakers from the business community.

The daylong event at the Holiday Inn City Centre includes educational breakout sessions, a business panel and business-related vendors. It’s aimed at business owners and managers.

John Meyer, CEO of Lemonly, will be the keynote speaker.

“We understand how busy schedules can be, and that is why we encourage anyone interested to get a ticket, check out the day’s lineup, and then come and go as your schedule allows,” said event organizer Kim Vander Poel.

A panel focusing on business best practices and moderated by Paul TenHaken will include:

  • Melissa Johnson, founder and CEO of Oh My Cupcakes.
  • Eric DeHaan, CPA at Woltman Group.
  • Amy Arndt, attorney at Lindquist & Vennum LLP.
  • Ryan Oines, vice president of the Zeal Center for Entrepreneurship.

“The goal of this event is to offer a day where businesses can build relationships and share the value they can bring to each other,” Vander Poel said.
