Nebraska company acquires The Gage Team

Nebraska-based Sandhills Publishing has acquired The Gage Team Inc. of Sioux Falls.

Gage began in 2006 and is an advertising agency that primarily focuses on digital marketing.

Co-founder Matthew Gage and his seven employees will become part of Sandhills, which also is taking over the Sioux Falls office space at 601 S. Phillips Ave.

Sandhills plans to add 10 to 15 positions in interactive web design and software development.

The company’s core business serves buyers and sellers in the construction, agriculture, transportation and aviation industries. Its portfolio of brands includes Machinery Trader, CraneTrader, TractorHouse, Truck Paper, RentalYard, AuctionTime.com, Controller, Charter Hub and FleetEvaluator.

Sandhills also provides solutions and cloud-hosted tech services designed to simplify transactions and day-to-day business operations, including inventory-management applications, integrated marketing platforms, data tools, native mobile apps and hosted websites.

“We knew very early in our conversations with Sandhills that their values are in line with the way we have always treated clients and staff,” Gage said. “This is a great opportunity for everyone.”

The Gage Team’s services include website design, programming, hosting, search engine optimization and pay-per-click services.

“The Gage Team is a service-oriented group of talented individuals building dynamic solutions,” said Nancy Paasch, Sandhills’ chief administration officer. “We’re excited to take the opportunity to build on the successes of this established team and grow our business in a Midwest city that shares many of Lincoln’s great qualities.”
