N.D. company to acquire division of EarthBend

From staff reports

A North Dakota-based information technology company is planning to acquire a division of Sioux Falls-based EarthBend.

High Point Networks will take over the value-added reseller division of EarthBend, which will keep its value-added distributor and soon-to-launch EB 360 cloud divisions.

High Point Networks has offices in five states, including one in Sioux Falls.

“The addition of the EarthBend team elevates the level of offerings we provide to the organizations we serve,” said Tom McDougall, president and CEO of High Point. “This expands our technical expertise, market reach and adds to our already strong foundation of service.”

The acquisition includes all assets and employees across the VAR business units of EarthBend’s South Dakota and Minnesota locations. They will join High Point Networks to become one of the largest technology resource teams in the region.

“This is exciting news for both companies,” said Rob Beyer, president and CEO of EarthBend President & CEO. “We see this as a way to further invest and expand our IoT security and cloud-based offerings. We are particularly excited to launch our EB 360 cloud division later this month.”

Over the next month, both companies will work through strategic transition items and communicate additional details to their employees, customers and vendor partners.

High Point Networks offers organizations services in areas such as infrastructure and network management, security services, unified communications and data center technologies.

Earth Bend provides technology-related services and solutions to businesses across the upper Midwest.
