Look inside million-dollar featured houses on Parade of Homes

May 18, 2018

Luxury abounds in the two homes featured on this year’s Spring Parade of Homes from the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire.

It’s a $5 donation per home to tour them at the event, which runs Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds benefit the Sioux Empire Home Builders Care Foundation. In addition to the featured homes, there are more than 70 houses to see, ranging from starter homes to luxury residences.

The first featured home at 801 E. Silver Pond Place was built by Choice Builders.

It offers 6,800 square feet, five bedrooms and five bathrooms in a ranch walkout floor plan.

A contemporary style mixes stained and enamel-finished woodwork. The expansive kitchen and dining area includes a 10-foot island and attached prep kitchen.

And a metal staircase features cable railings and custom posts with metal tops.

The outdoors is an impressive space with gas fireplaces, a stamped concrete patio and an in-ground pool.

The second featured home is by Zome’s Construction at 505 E. Shadow Creek Lane.

It’s 6,100 square feet with six bedrooms and four bathrooms plus a powder room and office.

The two-story home includes a finished basement, four-stall garage and a walk-in shower in the master bathroom.

Other features include a theater room, playhouse and large hidden pantry.

The Parade of Homes runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
