The Midas building on Minnesota Avenue is on the market.

It has been vacant for years. At one point, a sign was posted looking for a franchisee.

It’s now for sale and listed at $595,000.

Listing agent Dennis Breske of NAI Sioux Falls got connected to the property through NAI’s office in Miami.

“We have a couple prospects already,” he said. “We expect it will be automotive service-related. It could be converted to a little two-tenant or three-tenant strip center with a little creativity.”

The 3,200-square-foot building is at 1901 S. Minnesota Ave. and was built in 1954.

“It needs tender loving care. It hasn’t been maintained very well, but it’s structurally sound, and we’re having the roof inspected as soon as a roofer can get up there,” Breske said. “We’re expecting a lot of inquiries and interest.”
