Kirkland’s coming to Sioux Falls
Home decor retailer Kirkland’s is expanding to Sioux Falls.
The store will take the remaining 10,000 square feet of a new retail center at Lake Lorraine.
“We think they’re a great fit for the mix,” co-developer Mike Van Buskirk said. “They’re new to the area, and I think people will be excited about it. I think it will be very well-received here.”
Tennessee-based Kirkland’s has more than 340 stores in 35 states. Products include furniture, lighting, mirrors, wall decor, rugs, curtains, kitchen supplies and artwork.
The announcement caps a big year at Lake Lorraine, where Marshalls, Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, Ross Dress for Less and Carter’s OshKosh opened in the fall.
“It’s getting to be more of a center all the time,” Van Buskirk said.
DSW plans to open early next year, and Kirkland’s plans to open in the spring.
Other new additions starting construction in the coming months include Aloft hotel and a new corporate headquarters for Total Card.
