Keller’s partners with Eat Fit Go for healthy grab-and-go meals

Eat Fit Go is working with Keller’s Green Grocery to bring a healthy and fast meal option to downtown Sioux Falls.

The grocery store in The Carpenter Building is carrying Eat Fit Go’s salmon, chicken, vegetarian and kid’s meals. The dishes come in large or small portions, and for those who don’t want a whole meal, Keller’s also offers a snack box and yogurt parfaits.

“Providing Keller’s with Eat Fit Go is a great option for those who might not be able to make to our store,” general manager Jess Kroger said. The franchised location is at 3509 W. 57th St. in a retail center east of Louise Avenue. It opened Feb. 1.

Keller’s offers Eat Fit Go’s chicken or spinach enchiladas, fajita chicken bowl, teriyaki salmon and Asian citrus salad. Large meals sell for $12 or less, and the smaller portions are $2 cheaper. Kids can choose between macaroni and cheese with chicken or a turkey wrap. The snacks include blueberry Greek yogurt parfaits and a box of cubed chicken and cheese, almonds and dried cranberries.

Keller’s, which also serves its own sandwiches and soups for lunch, has seating areas in the grocery and in front of the building on Phillips Avenue between 10th and 11th streets. It offers a microwave for customers to heat up the Eat Fit Go meals.

Kroger said the partnership works well between the two stores because to the ideals of Keller’s and Eat Fit Go. Both believe in using local ingredients and non-GMO certified foods.

Keller’s is excited to provide good and healthy food on the go for downtown workers, owner Tom Keller said. He and Kroger hope to expand the Eat Fit Go offerings.
