Immersive golf simulators ready for winter play

This piece is presented by GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness.

Golf season starts now. Well, virtually at least.

GreatLIFE’s golf simulator league starts Jan. 8 at GreatLIFE Suburban Lanes, where you’ll also find high-tech TRUGolf simulators.

It’s an immersive experience with ultra-realistic graphics and precise analytics, designed to make lasting improvements to your game. With virtual simulations of over 85 world-renowned golf courses and 36 modes of play, you can treat yourself to a different experience every time.

Here’s what you need to know to maintain your game no matter what the weather.

New this year

Golfers of all ages can take advantage of GreatLIFE’s new punch pass.

For $100 for adults and $75 for juniors, you’ll get 10 hours of practice or play on TRUGolf simulators. Punch-pass owners can use the simulators anytime they are available.

League signup

Sign up for a simulator league today for the chance to win a Taylormade M1 Fairway Wood!

Some leagues are full, but there are spots available Monday, Wednesday or Thursday nights.

League play runs 10 weeks and consists of 64 two-person teams. Teams are divided into divisions, and the top two teams in each will advance to playoffs.

The cost is $175 for GreatLIFE members and $225 for nonmembers, which includes beer and pizza the first week.

Tournament time

GreatLIFE Suburban Lanes will host a simulator tournament Jan. 26-28. The four-person scramble will be the same course as Torrey Pines Golf Club.

Call 605-338-3800 to reserve a spot.

When to play

Suburban Lanes is open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., so there’s plenty of time to check out the simulators, enjoy free bowling for GreatLIFE members or watch a game.
