Harrisburg boutique doubles in size in new home

July 5, 2018

One year after opening, a Harrisburg boutique has moved into a new home that’s twice as large as the original space.

Carrie Ann’s Boutique is in the former Forget Me Not Gift Boutique space in a retail center on Cliff Avenue next to its original space in The Academy’s building.

“We were fortunate to have great success at the other location,” owner Carrie Bell said. “We quickly grew out of that space.”

While the location provided a customer base of moms dropping off their kids for practice and games at the sports complex, parking wasn’t as convenient as the retail center, which includes Schoeneman’s Building Materials Center and Lava’s Javas & Treats.

“This gives us the opportunity to carry more styles of jeans and dresses, to just expand everything we have.”

Along with women’s fashions, Bell is adding more children’s clothing and items such as coffee cups, lunch totes and candles.

“We have all sorts of fun things that we weren’t able to carry at the other store.”

The style of fashion remains the same – clothing for the “mom on the go,” Bell said.

“We carry pieces that can feel put together, cute and trendy, but you don’t need to take 45 minutes to put together an outfit in the morning.”

She’s also planning to start offering private parties for groups of women who want to turn shopping into a “girls’ night out” with wine and styling sessions.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
