She has already started a successful blog, multiple gyms and a corporate wellness business. But this week’s Up-and-Comer, Annie Mello, isn’t done growing her brand. Here are the details on her latest project as a nutrition coach — a cookbook for busy professionals.
Name: Annie Mello
Hometown: Los Angeles
What brought you to Sioux Falls?
What keeps you in Sioux Falls?
The people, the lifestyle and the winter. :}
What’s your favorite thing about your work?
I get to teach and empower people to live the healthiest life they can, and empower them to continue to accomplish goals and aspirations in and out of the gym.
What’s been your biggest surprise with CPM Fitness?
How many different avenues and walks of life we are able to help outside of gym walls.
Describe your approach to fitness and wellness in three words.
Nutrition, movement and lifestyle.
Tell us about your new cookbook. Who is this meant for, and what are you trying to achieve with it?
It is Fit Chic “Meals in Minutes” — 30 meals in 30 minutes or less. I work with many clients who all have the same concern when eating “healthy” — “no time.” I wanted to create a book that could put that statement to rest and show people how easy it is to cook healthy meals in minutes and still keep up with your daily schedule.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I will continue to build the Fit Chic brand with books, classes, workshops, etc., … continue to work with corporations on creating healthy and fun work environments regionally and nationally. I will have a family and community at CPM Fitness who treat their health and wellness professionally and — like a fine wine — continue to grow and get better with age.
