Girls Breaker Day to demystify electronics

From staff reports

An event July 29 in Sioux Falls will demystify how electronics and appliances work by letting girls explore and take them apart in a safe and educational environment.

Girls Breaker Day invites girls in fifth through 10th grades and their parents to bring their own electronics to take apart or use computers, keyboards, printers, electronic toys and other items that will be provided.

Girls will have a challenge to solve by locating specific items to build a craft project.

The event is organized by Code Bootcamp, sponsored and hosted by Journey Group, and also supported by Dakota State University, Montessorium and SEAM.
