If you like to be behind the wheel of the latest and greatest luxury model, some outstanding options are coming your way.

“It’s going to be an exciting year for all three of our luxury manufacturers,” said Mike Chaplin, general manager of Luxury Auto Mall.

“Some vehicles are here for you to test drive today, others are available for pre-order, and others will arrive through 2019, but they all offer exceptional updates, technology and driver experiences.”

BMW thinks big

BMW’s largest SUV, the X7, is almost here.

“This is their third-row, largest offering they have ever had,” Chaplin said. “We’re already taking pre-orders.”

The X7 likely will arrive in March 2019.

The iconic X5 also has a new design that’s just hitting the market this month.

“It’s all new,” said Tyson Elder, BMW brand manager at Luxury Auto Mall.

“BMW takes their time when they redesign vehicles. They’re going five to seven years between design changes, and it takes that long to do it that well.”

The new X5 has a bigger, longer and taller chassis along with new technology. It also has one long-requested update: Remote start.

“It’s finally here,” Elder said. “Plus there’s new seats, a new feel and overall better ride. They are here and ready to go.”

Mercedes debuting subcompact

Mercedes-Benz’s newest entry-level vehicle, the A Class, is coming in 2019.

“It’s a subcompact that will have the same great user experience, with smartphone integration, safety and technology assistance,” Chaplin said.

The A-Class will be available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive.

Other updates from Mercedes will be arriving later in 2019.

Cadillac reinventing for new generation

The new Cadillac XT4 already is finding fans among luxury drivers.

It debuted in October and was built from the ground up.

“It’s sporty, with great technology features,” Chapin said. “I love it. It mirrors the German cars and has all those features and driving characteristics.”

The XT4 is attracting new buyers to Cadillac, he added.

“Cadillac is becoming more vibrant,” he said. “It’s obviously an iconic brand, but they’re reinventing themselves to attract a young profile of buyer, and the XT4 is segmented to get those people into the Cadillac brand.”

Another new offering coming is the XT6, the first SUV for Cadillac with a third row that’s not an Escalade.

“I’m really excited for that,” Chaplin said. “It’s a segment Cadillac doesn’t have right now. It’s coming later in 2019.”
