Four easy ways to add seafood to your holiday meal

This piece is presented by Dakota Seafood Co.

Is your holiday menu in need of a little updating? The newest and freshest place for seafood in Sioux Falls can help.

Dakota Seafood Co. opened recently at The Bridges at 57th in the former Cleaver’s Market. You’ll quickly discover many market-fresh options to add a new twist to Christmas or New Year’s dinners.

We checked in with the Dakota Seafood experts for four easy recommendations.

The appetizer: Oysters

“We have an outstanding selection of oysters every day,” general manager Travis Petersen said. “Varieties change, and you can expect East and West Coast options. If you’ve never served them before, we’re happy to talk you through the options and help you execute a fabulous appetizer.”

Starter soup: Lobster bisque

“You can’t go wrong with lobster bisque. Everyone loves it,” Petersen said. “We offer a live Maine lobster, lobster tails and lobster meat.”

Seafood side dish

“We recommend scallops with pasta,” Petersen said. “Our dry scallops have no solution added, and they are always fresh. And we can send you on your way with a top-tier Italian-made pasta.”

The main event

Want to make seafood the star of the holiday meal? There are plenty of choices. “Salmon is always a hit in South Dakota. Our salmon is outstanding,” Petersen said. “We have multiple varieties and can help you find the one that best completes your meal.”

Dakota Seafood takes special orders for free. Call 605-681-4332.
