Former Ernie November site has new owners

By Rosemary McCoy

The owners of a Brandon nail salon have bought the former Ernie November building on West 12th Street in Sioux Falls along with two adjoining properties.

Tam Le and Kim Tran plan to use the properties for rental income. The Ernie November building has been vacant since the end of 2013 when the record shop consolidated locations.

Le said they want to find a tenant for the 2,600-square-foot building at 1801 W. 12th St., which they bought for $180,000 along with the property to the west, according to Minnehaha County property transfer records. Solomon Auto, which sells used vehicles and does repair work, leases the shop at 1809 W. 12th St.

Le and Tran, who operate Happy Nails, also bought a rental house to the south at 405 S. Willow Ave. for $50,000. The Jacob Fretty Jr. Revocable Trust owned the three properties.

The former Ernie November building at 12th Street and Willow Avenue has been vacant for 3 1/2 years.
