Meet the owner of a century-old Napa Valley winery while enjoying a five-course dinner created by the culinary team at Minervas in downtown Sioux Falls.

Gamble Family Vineyards’ own Tom Gamble will be the guest of honor for the event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, along with members of his team Ashley Brandner-Coffin and Michael Kasper.

The Gamble family has farmed in Napa Valley since 1916, and now runs a 175-acre operation of prime estate vineyards from several of the area’s most respected American Viticultural Areas.

“We’re honored to welcome Gamble vineyards to Sioux Falls and to help showcase their outstanding wines through a truly memorable dining experience,” said Ken Bashore, CEO of Vanguard Hospitality, owner of Minervas in downtown Sioux Falls.

Five delicious courses will be paired with specially selected Gamble Family Vineyards wines.

Here’s a taste of what awaits:

Social/reception:

Charcuterie and grilled seedless watermelon.

First course:

Seared scallops with Granny Smith apple frisee, cherry shoyu vinaigrette.

Second course:

Coffee-crusted Mangalitsa collar with huckleberry gastrique, clove-scented baby carrots, parsnip puree.

Third course:

Cocoa-crusted venison tenderloin, thyme-rosemary demi-glace with truffle Yukon mash, toasted hazelnuts.

Fourth course:

Foie gras creme brulee and blueberry crumble.

“We can’t wait to show guests how this food and wine interacts to create a truly remarkable meal,” Bashore said. “Reserve your place today to ensure you can experience it.”

The five-course dinner is $75 plus tax and gratuity. Seating is limited, and the lower level of Minervas may limit some accessibility. Call 605-334-0386 with questions and to reserve your place today.
