Fareway Stores Inc. has taken over Sunshine Foods in Tea.

The grocery store closed Feb. 2 and is expected to reopen as Fareway on Feb. 27.

The Iowa-based grocer announced in October that it was buying the business from Kyle and Deb Svanda. The store opened in 2006.

The Lewis Drug pharmacy in the building will remain open through the transition. Customers can walk inside or use the drive-thru.

The Tea location will be Fareway’s fourth store in the Sioux Falls area.
