Executive education program releases fall course schedule

This piece is presented by the executive education program of the USD Beacom School of Business.

Developing teams, project management, negotiation and lean management will be topics for the fall executive education program through the USD Beacom School of Business.

The school kicked off its executive education program with the spring Beacom Sampler program, which drew a strong response.

JDS Industries CEO Scott Sletten brought five members of his senior team.

“Everyone learned something at all the sessions and really appreciated the opportunity to go. You’re interacting with other businesspeople and sharing ideas and practices,” he said. “And when two people hear the same conversation, it gives you an opportunity in your business to talk about it afterward.”

The fall schedule is:

Developing High Performing Teams – Sept. 29

Foundations of Project Management – Oct. 12 and 19

Negotiating for Added Value – Oct. 27

Lean Management: Create Profit in Any Industry – Nov. 3 and 10

All courses are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University Center in Sioux Falls.

“We know Sioux Falls executives will be impressed with the outstanding content being presented and the faculty that will lead these courses,” said Linda Halliburton, director of the executive education program. “We were very pleased with the response to the Beacom Sampler and see strong potential to grow our executive education offerings.”
