A Mexican restaurant in Dell Rapids that had been closed temporarily because of a shortage of workers is now closed permanently.

The phone number for El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant has been disconnected, the Facebook page is gone, and Google lists it as permanently closed. An employee at the Brandon location confirmed that it will not reopen.

The restaurant closed unexpectedly in April with a sign posted on the door citing a lack of employees. Earlier this summer, co-owner Maria Guitron said she was working to find a staff of seven or eight to reopen the business.

The Dell Rapids restaurant opened in late 2016.
