JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for direction of patient care in the operative environment. Manages staff members in the surgery, SPD and anesthesia departments. Consults with staff, physicians and chief nursing officer on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in quality activities. Performs scheduling duties and formulates budget for department. This is a working manager position, which includes assisting the surgical team during operative and invasive procedures.

Incentive money available for external candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current South Dakota RN license or multistate licensure privileges. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
