CVB announces visitor awards

May 17, 2019

Three businesses and individuals were honored this week with annual visitor awards from the Sioux Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Last year, tourism accounted for $468 million in impact to the Sioux Falls economy, the CVB estimated.

Through its annual awards, the CVB recognizes individuals and businesses who have made an impact and showed consistent support to the industry.

This year’s winners are:

  • First Impressions Award: Tyler Larson, Holiday Inn City Centre.
  • Business Award: The Outdoor Campus.
  • Heart of the City Award: Mike Cooper, recently retired Sioux Falls director of planning and development services.

“Shark Tank” star Daymond John was the keynote speaker at the CVB awards. To see more with him and executive director Teri Schmidt, click below.
