City to announce Uptown developer Tuesday

The city of Sioux Falls will announce its development partner Tuesday, Aug. 1, for a portion of the Uptown area of downtown.
The city-owned land is at 701 and 721 N. Phillips Ave. across from Falls Park West.
The city issued a request for proposals from interested developers earlier this year. City leaders plan to announce the project that was selected at 10 a.m.
In the spring, an office building opened nearby that includes Stockwell Engineers.
