Women’s retailer Charlotte Russe is going out of business.

That includes the store at The Empire Mall, which is located in a prominent spot in center court.

Charlotte Russe filed for bankruptcy earlier this year but at that time said it planned to keep some stores open, including Sioux Falls.

On Wednesday, a bankruptcy court approved the sale of the company to a liquidation business. Going-out-of-business sales start today at its 512 stores and will go no later than April 30.

Charlotte Russe told USA Today it’s in negotiations with a potential buyer for its intellectual property who would have some bricks-and-mortar presence.
