June is for the Roses art show premiers Thursday, June 14, at Dawley Farm Village.

It’s part of the Voyage Visionaries art show series at Voyage Federal Credit Union. The Dawley branch is located at 5800 E. 18th St.

The show launches with an event from 5 to 8 p.m. and features work from artist Kristine Reiner, a graphic designer and mixed-media artist who graduated from the University of Sioux Falls in 2016.

Reiner creates abstract art by painting with roses and bases her work on life experiences. She said using parts of a rose to create her work creates a unique look she can’t achieve with a paintbrush.

Music from Ben Gertner will be part of the event from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
